Ties:
This is how ties are determined in the RacePool.
If there is a tie for 1st place - 1st place money + 2nd place money is combined and split evenly. 2nd place finisher gets 3rd place money.
If there is a tie for 2nd place - 2nd place money + 3rd place money is combined and split evenly. 3rd place finisher is out of the money.
If there is a tie for 3rd place - 3rd place money is split evenly.
HotSpots:
HotSpots are predetermined spots that pay a percentage of the money taken in. The predetermined spots are 20th, 40th, 60th, etc. There is one HotSpot per every 20 entries.
HotSpots are all about sorting. Points are sorted each week using this formula:
1 - Points
2 - Finishing order this week
3 - Finishing order last week
First, points are sorted low to high. If there is a tie, the highest rank goes to the person that had the best finish that week.
Example: Picker #1 and Picker #2 both have 50 points. Picker #2 picked the winner this week and Picker #1 picked the 7th place driver. Picker #2 is listed above picker #1. If both pickers picked the same driver this week, the sorting goes back to last week's results.
There are no ties for HotSpots. You have to land on the predetermined spots.
